Indian senior team cricketing culture  is to blame . Can and will never perform to potential . There will be flashes of exceptional performance but will never be consistent

Coaches don’t the play the game onfield . They are glorified note takers .. honestly money is weak argument in Indian cricket .. merit / based compensation in not part of ict culture .. 

 

Ict is run like a business a revenue generating product .. every player has ARR ( annual recurring revenue) ..

 

coaches don’t have an ARR .. they don’t matter .. they can indirectly influence the financial bottom line , by influencing public sentiment about the team .. and the reason why gambir won’t last just like chappel .

Yes they don't play but strategy, tactics is what makes difference in cricket along with implementation,Cummins is credit but so are australia backroom staff analyst captain can't plan for every batsman nor take care of every bowler problem or batsman technical problems

A coach has to be a man manager and create a calm environment in dressing room. Gautham gambhir craves for attention and tries to impose himself on players. He is Indian version of Greg Chappel . He should be kicked out ASAP.

do u think gavaskar deserved to play as an ODI Batsman for INDIA- I am sure he should not have played for ODI's for INDIA except for one series against new zealand when SUNNY hit chatfield and other trundlers of new zealand.

dear even MSD played for many TESTS when he under performed as a BATSMEN. GG deserves credit for many things that he has implemented.

Rohit doesn't have anywhere near the clout kohli has.

 

Kohli and dhoni (with kumble, shastri etc as coaches) , both dropped players of bigger status than rohit when they were captain, dropping/retiring sehwag, Gambhir, dravid, Ganguly, Yuvraj, laxman, etc was never easy but they did it.

Rohit has more PR than all of them. After WT20 it went through the roof
