The legions of messi/ronaldo/lebron fans etc. hasnt stopped any of their clubs from benching them or trading them or subbing them out when they are sucking in a given game and while i dont follow football anymore, i would be SHOCKED if La-Ligua is no longer ruthlessly professional and would trade an underperforming 500 million dollar god tier player in like 10 days flat if they could.

Same goes for Aussie or the English -  especially the english fans being retard level but that doesnt stop ECB from nudging a legend like Anderson to retire. Its the job of BCCI to pick the team for best players possible. One more thing, don’t look out for “talent”, look out for performance in Domestic cricket. Tired of backing players like Gill just because he “looks good”. Both fans and selectors are looking for players pleasing to the eye, who can play perfect straight drive and cover drives, has all shots in the book etc… you end up ignoring players like Sarfraz because they don’t play by the book, even though they have 60+ average in domestic matches.. A player like Smith would have never been picked for India with this attitude..
