Am telling you - that was me at that age. Not very athletic, had minimal skills, but had a knack for mimicking players' actions and mannerisms. Gavaskar's straight drive, Kapil's wind-up, Marshall's minimalist action, Srikkanth's nasal-whatever-that-was etc.

 

But actual cricket? Nah. 

 

Plus, I never played season ball until I moved to the US. In India, only gully cricket with rubber ball, tennis ball, or sometimes cork ball.
