How bad will the Champions Trophy humiliation be under GG and Rohit ?

Recommended Posts

Everyone keeps mentioning Mayank Yadav but from I can find he has only played 3 T20 games this season and is not even featuring in the Vijay Hazare trophy. Took just 1 wicket in the 3 games and only completed 4 overs in 1 match,

The guy was breaking down often even delivering a 4 over quota last IPL. What makes people think he is anywhere near a prospect for the national team ?

Selectors need to take a call on Rohit and Jadeja at least. Can't stand them.

Kohli is a lock in ODIs coz of eggsperience quota.

Heard Rohit and Kohli will be rested in England ODIs so Jaiswal debut is likely.

How fit is Mayank Yadav?? That will be key.  If he plays T20s vs Eng them he can be included in the squad

@Nikhil_cric

Mayank needs to play the 3 ODIs against England .  Need to see if he can maintain his accuracy and s reasonable speed over a 10 over quota.

Based on what ? He has barely played 3 domestic T20s this year and has only managed to bowl 4 overs once.

What is the evidence that he can even bowl 10 overs in a day ? He is not even playing in Vijay Hazare.

Mayank has played 17 List A games.

Injuries are causing him concern from 2023 onwards, but previous to that he has played entire SMAT in 2023 without breaking down.

We need to give him time to see if his body can mature and take the load. By age of 25-26 if he is still breaking down then we can think of alternatives.

Do that in domestics. Can't afford him to break down in middle of an important ODI or Test

Which is why we need to see whether he can bowl or not .

In India, being fit means bowling at 130kph.

Dehati doctors at NCA will keep on "tweaking his action" till he becomes another run of mill trundler.

I shouldn't call them doctor...they are chiropractors.

"You are not a doctor, Alan Harper."

What is the difference. It's only a bilateral series. It's a great time to test him out.

A national cap cannot be that cheap that you get a trial run out with the full national  side without having played any games in that format at any level before. Not just fitness, there's also no evidence he has the skills required for ODI cricket.
