‘We are losing, losing, losing'’: Gavaskar tears into Gautam Gambhir, Morne Morkel; says ‘questions need to be asked’

Recommended Posts

It's all Gambhir, Morkel and support staff's fault. The plans were clearly laid out and except for some esteemed senior players, others didn't execute them well.

Rohit and Kohil had laid out the perfect plan to beat Australia:

1. Youngsters got so many opportunities to bat. Middle and lower middle order routinely got opportunities to excel. Captain Rohit and His Royal Highness Kohli ensured that they did not play too many balls and deprive our younger players from getting their opportunities to bat against swinging new ball. But the young guys did not live up to expectations. Few of them got fifties, two hundreds, but they didn't convert those into double or triple hundreds.

2. Bumrah got so many opportunities to bowl. He bowled 908 balls, but only got wickets off 32 balls. Hence, 96% of his balls were not wicket-taking. He needs to improve on this. Rohit ensured Bumrah was always bowling from one end, but alas so many non wicket-taking balls are to be blamed for the defeat.

3. Rohit gave pep talk during every session, yet they did not get motivated enough by the pep talk. Having such legendary players in their team itself should have been enough motivation for the team to excel. Yet, Rohit had to expend so much energy to provide a pep talk during every session. Imagine the toll this took on his body, but he is the most selfless captain and hence, he did it all the same.

4. Kohli provided so many examples of how to prepare for slip catches. He constantly demoed it live while batting during the match, yet our slip fielders didn't learn from it and dropped few catches. What more can an experienced player do than sacrifice his own wicket so that youngsters can learn?! Kohli also assisted with running out our top scorers so that other youngsters get their chance to shine.

Those criticizing Rohit and Kohli are just blind haters. Remember both are "do bacchon ke baap" and hence, they are the most responsible people on this planet Earth. They will know exactly when it is time to retire. So, stop asking for their retirement till 2034 at least.

why he repeats the word 3 times? is it some Marathi way of speaking like one repeats 3 times for more attention or something and he brought into English?

Because we lost 3 tests to NZ and 3 to Aus, it will an achievement if we only lose 3 tests to England next, that's how low the bar is now.

It’s simple.

We got railed by NZ.  That’s the first Stupid + Losing combo

Then Australia ran a train on us. Stupid + Losing the second time.

Perhaps he is NostraGavaskarus and predicting a third Test series loss?

On that note I wonder how he goes when he’s in the mood? “Come over here baby I’m tharki, tharki, tharki! ”
