Ajit Agarkar (Chairman of selection Committee) is not a  northie.  Maharashtra is not located in North India.

Selectors, where they from? Not pin pointing at ajit, entire selection panel.

I can't say if Rohit Sharma playing is a good or bad thing for Mumbai. They will have Jaiswal also and Ayush Mhatre has made a sensational start to his career. Shaw is out for disciplinary reasons, but has been pretty good at the domestic level. They also have Angkrish waiting in the wings.

In the middle order, they have Iyer, Rahane and even Siddhesh Lad has scored runs this season. So, Mumbai have plenty of batting despite the absence of Sarfaraz and Musheer.

Honestly, Mumbai would be better off without Rohit, but I guess he has to play since he made himself available.

Shiv Sundar Das: A former opening test batsman

Subroto Banerjee: A former fast bowler

Ajay Ratra: A former wicketkeeper who represents the North Zone

Sridharan Sharath: A former first class batsman

As long as they drop Rahane for Rohit and not a youngster...I will be happy.

Need to streamline the selection process.  Coach should also be chief selector in our setup.

Das is Bengali .

He played for Odisha, that's kinda south eastern.

Anyway larger point is there is equal representation in the panel and not some discimination

Even last chief selector MSK Prasad is from Andhra.
