The risk is very high in drinking urine as compared to any purported benefits, as other scientific studies have made it clear.

Toxic Substances in Cow and Camel Urine

  1. High Levels of Urea and Ammonia:

    • Both cow and camel urine contain urea and ammonia, which, in excessive amounts, can be toxic to humans. Consuming these substances can lead to uremic poisoning or damage to the digestive system.
  2. Presence of Heavy Metals:

    • A 2017 study conducted in India found that cow urine can contain heavy metals like lead, cadmium, chromium, and nickel, depending on environmental contamination and the animal's diet. These metals are toxic and can lead to chronic health conditions, including kidney damage, neurological disorders, and cancer.
  3. Mutagenic Properties:

    • Some studies suggest that cow urine can have mutagenic effects (causing DNA mutations), which might increase the risk of cancer.

Pathogens in Animal Urine

Animal urine, including that of cows and camels, can carry harmful pathogens such as:

  1. Leptospirosis:

    • This bacterial infection is caused by Leptospira bacteria, often found in animal urine. Leptospirosis can cause fever, muscle pain, liver damage, kidney failure, or even death.
  2. Other Bacterial Infections:

    • Urine can contain various bacteria like Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Salmonella, which can cause severe gastrointestinal infections.
  3. Fungal and Parasitic Infections:

    • Animal urine may carry fungi or parasites that are harmful to humans.

Health Risks of Drinking Urine

  1. Gastrointestinal Problems:

    • Drinking animal urine may lead to nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach pain due to the toxic components or pathogens.
  2. Kidney and Liver Damage:

    • The high urea and ammonia content can place undue stress on the kidneys and liver, potentially causing damage over time.
  3. Risk of Infections:

    • Consuming unsterilized animal urine increases the risk of bacterial, viral, and parasitic infections.
  4. Potential for Cancer:

    • The presence of mutagenic substances and heavy metals in cow urine has been linked to increased cancer risks in some studies.

Scientific Criticism of Medicinal Claims

While some studies highlight the antibacterial or antioxidant properties of urine under controlled conditions, they often involve purified or processed extracts, not raw urine. The medicinal claims about urine often lack large-scale, peer-reviewed research to support them fully. Additionally, the risks of toxicity and infection outweigh any purported benefits.

Funny how you are telling us exactly what we told you, science denying idiot liberal.

Funny why are you preaching to the choir? We said the same thing. You wasted all your time googling, cutting and pasting.

leave all that they never shy away of licking women’s genitalia (No offence to women) front back both as its some god send food, but create thread if somehow someone have used cow urine for medical reason.

This is a good argument indeed. Well done.

I personally believe that there is no 100% perfect god present in the heavens who created a perfect world for humans. Nature (evolution) follows its own course and humans have to make compromises in order to survive.

Therefore, in order to get one benefit (pleasure/sexual satisfaction), humans have to make a compromise in this case (i.e. take a risk of a somewhat disgusting and also dangerous practice of licking and sucking). I wish evolution would have put sexual organs far away from excretory organs, and would have made them to smell like flowers. :rose:

To be honest, oral sex worth taking some risk, but not to that extent. Washing and hygiene is important.

Oral sex seems to be natural, and that is why Kama Sutra also talks about oral sex, but of course, not to that extent of drinking/eating.

Another moron who has no common sense despite being educated. Just like Annamalai.

But but this guy is IIT Madras Director:facepalm:

Are Sanghis usually this retarded?

Man says cow urine has anti-bacterial properties and it will cure Irritable bowel syndrome.

As a hindu, I am only feeling deep sense of shame at how sanghis have only embarassed hindus with their speeches.

Opinion is open to all and not just the people tagged.

If true, extract that component from urine and make it available as medicine. What is wrong in it? Offcourse it has to be economically viable. But i think just milk is enough for cows to be protected. Go to North East of India and Bangladesh, they have eaten all the cows and havent got milk for even Tea(Use Milk pwder for Tea). Probably milk is scarce in neighbouring Pakistan as well.

@Vicks57 When people used to die of various kind of Pox (Small,Chicken and so on) It was observed that people working with cows have near zero moratlity rate with no or milder attack. No one knew the reason.

Most likely cows suffer from cowpox which spread to the carers and built the immunity. Disease is no more relvant today but civilisations have nearly ended in olden days due to these diseases. American Natives lost to English due to this disease. So dont allways sit on high horse of modernity and comment about older practices. Our forefathers were probably lot smarter and scientific when they started saving cows religiously. They didnt needed "English language" to become critical , scientfic ,building processes and manufacturing social behaviour.

Finally, Modernity and nature dont allways go together. whatever we end up achieving 1000 years from now, Somewhere we will have to find out how to live with nature like olden days, else we are doomed.
