None of the Ind sports/cricket jurnos/Analysts goes to watch the domestic game or even intnl game. Domestic games are not even tvised.

All these ppl know is some story which some player leaked to them or remember some kind of stat. They do nt understand the game at all.

 

Any1 playing 10-15 years of domestic will have 1-2 outstanding season and then these jurnos and analyst look that that stat and star praising and asking for immediate selection without looking at quality of runs/wkt or even if the player has improved anything.

 

Couple of season back when retuning mohit sharma had a good ipl season all were asking for his inclusion in wc side.

Bharat is best fast bowling and technical know how journalist as of now in market.

And he follows domestic cricket rather closely.

I think he will be picked for overseas like 4th wheel.  Bumrah, Siraj, Prasidh, Nabi something like that. India needs someone who can be economical like Ishant was. Prasidh was going at 6.5 runs in England.

Basically not playing IPL match is an advantage.  Hazlewood, Cummins, Bumrah all got thrashed.

The issue here is most experts and fans are not saying core of his non-selection is lacks of pace he was bowling 130ish kmph in IPl, Its fair to assume it will go down by atleast 5kmph in tests.

 

Sub 135 kmph does not works unless wkts is offering too much , which does not happen in home conditions, Ind plays with 2 seamers in Ind condition can he be #1 or #2 bowler ??

And if going by top wkt taker in ranji season then none of bhumrah, shami, umesh, Ishant, Ashwin,bhuvi were the top wkt taker in a ranji season think only jadeja was top wkt taker. These bowler also leap forged a lot of other top wit taker.

 

Intnl cricket is not about top wkt taker in or run getter its what team needs and if they have that x-factor for itnl cricket.
