It is hilarious to see the Dem Senators grilling RFK Jr. If he was a Biden or Obama appointee,

So easy to comment when you are not parent of child with autism and dont have to wonder if you have done something wrong

This. As a parent you run the risk of so many decisions without having full knowledge. If it affects your child , you will suffer lifelong. What is worse is the celebrity activism who picks sides based on their following. It grows in the news adding salt to wounds.

But he actually said all of that?

And left invented that? Nope, the libertian invented those who have always sided with the right

Also your post makes no sense, some random leftist ranting online is same as an anti vacciner being in charge of health secretary of the country?

What kind of logic is this

Whenever the right conservative have come to power they have always dragged humanity back, set back science and progress by decades. This is the pattern we have seen every single time in history

The conspiracy theorists who came up with evil vaccines came from the celebs left liberals. Search for Jenny McCarthy.

In 2012, we co-authored a book, Science Left Behind, in which we argued that the anti-vaccine movement began with the political Left, but spread to religious conservatives and libertarians.

better than dead, is it not ? LIke...autism isnt deadly. Polio, rubella, mumps, etc. are.

I find it hard to justify chosing 'my child may die if i dont do this, even if its rare' over 'my child may be socially awkward and have behaviour & survival issues, even if its rare'. Thats...just how i am wired sorry, i choose 'yes' to 'child alive' option every single time and go for removing the -ve modifiers in terms of deadly diseases from the list. Thats...just not being a moronic dehati in my book. Like even facking Susruta talks of some sort of contageon and how to avoid diseaes that are deadly,this....isnt a seller in our species re: how to raise kids.

No one tells you how tough it is to be a parent. We feel guilty even when you couldnt have done anything. Yes I agree, there is always someone famous who has some radical opinion for every topic.

Folks, this is where science comes in. There are rigorous methods of observation and statistical analysis that are used to determine causation. And the vaccine-autism hypothesis has been soundly rejected when scrutinized using scientific analysis. Autism is a complex multi-genic phenomenon that may never have a straightforward explanation.

Unfortunately, we are not wired to handle such uncertainty and are always looking for a simple Yes/No explanation, and people like RFK Jr. confidently plug in whatever nonsense they want. This gives people a sense of control and hope. He has made a career out of being a predatory American trial lawyer, who preys on people's (especially mothers') fears.

Here is a classic example of how this works:

Considering that instagram/twitter wellness gurus selling natural MAHA "medicine" are among RFK Jr.'s biggest backers, this article fits in this thread.

Apple Cider Vinegar: How Instagram wellness guru Belle Gibson faked cancer – and caused a scandal

Apple Cider Vinegar should also be an alarm bell for anyone still blindly taking medical advice from influencers with no medical qualifications but a large online following. The global wellness industry was worth $6.3 trillion in 2023, but it continues to contain darker elements, with cases of people manipulating and hurting those seeking holistic therapies. Only recently, in December, Hongchi Xiao, an alternative healer, was convicted of manslaughter after a 71-year-old diabetic woman stopped taking her insulin while on a retreat he was running; and in 2024, the Brazilian wellness influencer Kat Torres was found guilty in 2024 of human trafficking and slavery.

I saw one Desi influencer telling to keep Apple cider vinegar outside the fridge overnight and drink it first thing in the morning, to get rid of belly liver fat.

It works better for belly fat control if you keep it in the fridge. Outside the fridge is to treat diabetes. People can't keep things straight in their head anymore.
