Max we can get to knockouts and then we'll implode as usual coz we all know what Kohli and Rohit are gonna do there. tapandrun 1
Bigg Brother Posted February 10 Posted February 10 The way he reacts is funny Like he is leg spinner, he is obviously going to bowl leg spin to you idiot. Remember him giving same reactions to Rashid when he bowled him in 2018 ODI series, 7 years apart nothing has changed, he just can't play spin. Rubbish player as Boycott says.. Baffles me this guy was being compared to SRT Ultimate_Game 1
vvvslaxman Posted February 10 Posted February 10 When your performance is poorer than Kane mama's performance in ODIs you should realize your end is near.

Baffles me this guy was being compared to SRT Can't play spin, can't play pace, can't play incoming deliveries and gets bowled or LBW, can't play outside off as edge behind the wkt, can't play quick short bowling as reflexes have gone down due to age and is late on the pull etc. So my question is what exactly can Kohli play now? Is he's in the team just to play gun barrel straight, medium paced deliveries on stumps without any deviation? If that's the case, we can literally find tens of domestic players who can do that and much better. Edited February 11 by Ultimate_Game Bigg Brother, Adamant, deepdynamo and 1 other 4

LordPrabhzy Posted February 11 Posted February 11 If Kohli fails in CT he should be dropped from ODI selections If he fails in England, he should be dropped from further Test selections ( same with Rohit) He has been given a long enough rope

But for Tests he shouldn't even be picked for Eng series. 5+ years of continuous failures in Tests should be enough to not pick him. Think of it this way... even if he manages to score a few runs in Eng, then what? Are we going to carry a 38 year old for another eternity just coz he scored in a series after 5+ years? So doe sthat mean he'll need to be carried till he's 45? What really is the upside to keep him in the team at this age? Adamant 1

Baffles me this guy was being compared to SRT That ball in 2018 was actually good, Kohli was an amazing player of spin before 2020, he averaged 100+ against right arm leg spinners and SLAO before 2020, (got this info from Nikhil_cric..) He looks like a spent force now.

putrevus Posted February 19 Posted February 19 (edited) He has no excuse for his debacles, he never tried to work on his issues by playing FC cricket. When any player thinks they are bigger than the game then this is what happens to them.Sachin played FC even in last season. I don't know why he is still playing , he is not going to improve his technical weaknesses. He has nothing left to prove, if he is playing for the love of game he would have played FC cricket and worked on his issues. He is the best odi batsman and has been very good test player.Playing all formats has taken its toll. Just ride into sunset and play for RCB if he still wants to make money. Guy like Jaiswal should not be out of the team in any format. Edited February 19 by putrevus nevada and BacktoCricaddict 1 1

Nikhil_cric Posted February 20 Author Posted February 20 And out to away spin yet again. Since I made this thread , twice to Adil Rashid and now to friggin Rishad Hossain. nevada 1
putrevus Posted February 20 Posted February 20 He has declined massively and should not being in the team but he is still better than some bozos like Iyer who on their good day also cannot sustain their form.

Same goes for Rohit Sharma too. Kohli, at least, is physically fit. Sharma was huffing and puffing after having played 30 balls today. Once in a while he will tonk his way to a big score just because he is a gifted player, but that is no justification to keep him on the team anymore.
