Frustrated Posted February 20 Posted February 20 It's really painful as an Ind fan to watch Chokli crawl to a 40 ball 20 in most ODI innings these days (Despite flat pattas). At one stage, we were cruising at 65/0 in 9 overs. Chokli tried his best to bring BD back into the game and almost succeded. He will defintely try to ensure that we lose to Pak by playing a similar terrible knock this Sunday. He will make Abrar and part timers like Khusdil and SalmanAgha look like world class spinners.
Frustrated Posted February 20 Posted February 20 I was enjoying the Rohit Gill opening partnership, after a hectic office schedule. Chokli completely ruined the show by tuktuking every ball (like a nightwatchman), followed by an unwanted shameless sort of giggling act after every ball. Had to turn off the TV for about 30 mins or so. Luckily he didn't survive long. Or else his slow batting might hv cost us this match vvvslaxman and Number 1 1
BacktoCricaddict Posted February 20 Posted February 20 One day, hopefully very soon, this will be Rohit and Kohli and the sunset.

He looked like a deer caught in headlights from the get go. This is why forcing him to play in domestic is essential. 100% sure he would have flopped in Vijay Hazare. We have Mayank, Karun Nair, Jagadeesan piling up runs there. But this guy is still living on his past laurels. Lone Wolf and Frustrated 2

Frustrated Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Against 8th ranked team today, Chokli played 38 balls. Out of which 21 were dot balls. Quite similar to GobarAzam's knock last night. vvvslaxman 1
vvvslaxman Posted February 20 Posted February 20 All said and done Padosis may give Kohli another lifeline like they always do. He may even get a 50.

Ultimate_Game Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Kohli is a lose-lose proposition. If he gets out immediately, he puts pressure on the batting as they've to absorb the loss of 2 quick wkts. But if he stays on and bats for longer he kills the team with his sub-par SR. Look at his performances in the SL series and this match. He stalled the innings in every match despite Rohit giving us a fast start nearly every match. If he can lose us a match despite a fast start from Rohit, imagine what'll happen when Rohit falls early, which is bound to happen. Kohli can neither play fast, nor can he play a long innings. Keeping Jaiswal out for this useless piece of shyte is gonna cost us another ICC tourney.
vvvslaxman Posted February 20 Posted February 20 Kohli creates patterns and owns it. 1) 8th stump line dismissal in Tests 2) Dismissals agianst leg spinners in ODIs velu, nevada, Frustrated and 1 other 4
Ultimate_Game Posted February 20 Posted February 20 If they're smart, India's opponents should not dismiss Kohli and let him bat deep into the innings. India is guaranteed to end up with a below par total. Frustrated 1

jf1gp_1 Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Kohli is done. I want kl to play at 3 and pant at 5 hardik at 6 followed by jaddu n axar. However our next opponent are pakistan who are capable of reviving his career

Number Posted February 21 Posted February 21 (edited) Difficult for him to score at good s/r with so many limitations. No square of the wicket game, no sweeps, doesn't step out much either. Unless someone keeps feeding him fuller balls, he will struggle for runs. Edited February 21 by Number Lone Wolf, Frustrated and diga 3

putrevus Posted February 21 Posted February 21 (edited) He did better than any other batsman past or present in 2023 in the biggest stage .He made scoring 100 a routine, there has never been a better odi batsman than him. He has played 6 odis in last two years that is his biggest problem. He needed to commit himself to rediscover his batting by playing FC and working out his kinks against spin. But looks like he does not want to do it. It is better for him to just retire, he has nothing left to prove. Edited February 21 by putrevus
