Well played Kohli! Saw Kohli show up in knockouts after 2016 WT20! :hatsoff:

Hope he has one more innings in him for the finals

More impressively, he actually attacked leg spin for a change when Zampa missed his length. Looked much more decisive while playing spin

Another moron who started this thread.36 or 37 year old batsman is supposed to decline as they age.

Nothing wrong in that, question which needs to be asked if Kohli still commands place in the team.

He will be still first name on the team among any Indian batsmen.

I don't think he was worried about his 100 lol.

We were..haha..

I also wanted Axar's 50 too..he always plays such impactful cameos..would have been nice if he could get more runs..he made life easier for Kohli

Win on Sunday and retire. Perfect end to one of the best white ball batsman.

agree

Both Rohit and Kohli need to retire from ODis if they win the final- go on a high just like T20is... but knowing vada pav he will try to stretch till 2027 WC

Top knock :hatsoff:

Moment chase was under 270, I knew Kohli would control it.

You've much more confidence in him than I did. I was pleasantly surprised. Hope Kohli and India have one more performance in them for the finals

Don’t forget WCT20 final

underrated and often forgotten innings since others have scored in this  2023 ODI world cup 100+ in semis,

50+ in finals(unlucky to get out on inside edge, steering india to 275-280 otherwise)

His batting against spinners is an embarrassment, even in ODIs. Today , he tried to flick an incoming ball to the leg side , could have played it straight

3 test series where he missed a rank full toss showed how confident he is against spin these days.

Why do you play across the line on a turning track?

Yea.. Very low percentage. This is where Smith is class apart. He is probably going through the same bad patch. But he changed his techinque on the fly and started playing better percentage cricket even if it looks downright ugly. He is a survivor. Kohli si not . He just has to dangle the bat way infront of the pad. In ODI you don't have enough slips. Also in one dayer there is no  movement after 3 overs.  So that is why this weakness cannot be exploited.

Sachin in 2003-4 didn’t play a whole innings on the offside and scored 241 in Sydney. Sometimes, great players have to accept aging reflexes and turn up. Kohli is probably too proud to accept his handicap.

Gavaskar on air said that, "The shot he played is played by a batter who is set and on a score of 20 or 30".I think, Kohli backed himself since he is in good form having been Man of the match in his previous two innings. If kohli intends to play in 2027 ODI world cup, the tracks are bouncy. I am not sure, if its excesive cricket or age that declined his game against spin. Neverthless medicore since some times, condidering he was mediocre  even in IPL
