While at it, do something about the vulgarity in movies , songs (Bhojpuri, so called India rap music) as well 2 wrongs don’t make a right. That Ekta Kapoor serials are rotten has been known for a while. What you are entirely missing is that the 2 degenerates in question - Samay and Allahbadia are abusing their position as “influencers” in society’s most vulnerable and impressionable demography - 14-30 year olds with utter disgusting and filthy language and make it a new normal. Indias got latent is an extreme case - even outside of that Samay has been abusing profusely in every single live show for YouTube views and wrapping it up in a “joke”. I am for taking very harsh action coming of a govt regulation on anyone with a position of influence abusing the freedom of expression in general and freedom of speech in particular. China heavily regulates its social media - you would not find Chinese youth engaging is such trash - the ecosystem just doesn’t permit it. That’s why their youth produce 100x scientific output than India and build their own equivalent of western companies, while ours make influencers out of trash degenerates like Samay. That’s why while large part of the Indian youth wasted life on TikTok and Insta reels producing viral content - while China has always banned the international version of Tiktok and maintains a domestic heavily censored version. A cousin of my husband, recently purchased a new home in the Madhu Park area of Khar. @Rajiv is form those parts and would know the neighborhood. A lane away there is a big name builder who flouts all rules re construction in a residential area. Parks heavy vehicles at will, work goes on beyond 10pm. Cement chunks are on the road and dust all around which are never even cleared. Police have done nothing after repeated complaints. Yet to hog limelight, they'd dive in on the Habitat centre, Samay's studio for Latent, and confiscate random shooting paraphernalia and tag the media along. Hi Mariyam, been a long time.
