From pizza gate to deep state conspiracy, all were started especially to attract dumb people to the right. Bannon is on record admitting how they targeted bitter men intentionally on social media because they are prone to believe any conspiracy theories as long as it lets them hate everyone who is different. It shows how absurd the spending of my tax dollars is. I don’t lose sleep over trans getting aid to be on Pride parades in Tanzania. (Again a rhetorical comment). So, according to you majority of American voters are bigots, racists because they voted for Trump. You have no idea how elections work. When we elected Obama it was all fine, suddenly when your crush gets voted out, you have become crazy and calling all those who elected him as fascists. I see the USAID funds for AIDS alleviation very differently than colonialism. If one nation has the technology and resources to save lives from an infectious disease, it would be insanely inhumane not to share it with low-income nations where millions are dying preventable deaths. 

 

I may be a bit naive, but I am not naive enough to think that they were completely altruistic and didn't want *anything* in return. I look at it as wielding "soft power," comparable to vaccine diplomacy that India was doing during the pandemic. I think that was a much-needed gesture by GoI, and if India got something back in return, that's a win-win.

Not claiming all that they did was to wield weird expenses like changing of regimes. But, it was unchecked, unaudited spending that is being transparent now . If US wants to alleviate poverty in the world  , it is gratifying, but at the same time they want to change regime and national politics of foreign governments, it is not acceptable.

1. India’s neighbour aka potential enemy is China. China is not neighbour of EU. Since Russia is neighbour to China hence its potential friend to India.

Now whatever u see is all down to above basic if US is going to fight Russia or Is US going to take on China?

 

Somewhere, Trump has understood this basic Chanakya principle that EU and China will always sea each other as potential friend, and EU will dump US in case China becomes comparatively strong. This old ties based in white American with Europe or special bond will be thrown in garbage by same Europeans when they see US is loosing to China. Infact thats the reason why most analysts were confused why US is fighting Russia when it considers number one threat to US hegemony is China

But still glad it was done. Whole nations (e.g., Botswana, Swaziland) were being wiped out in the 90s but funding from agencies like USAID was largely responsible for bringing it under control.

As someone who has always been sensitive to government waste and in favor of tax cuts and slashing govt spending, let me ask this:

 

Should these organizations be completely and indiscriminately dismantled? Why not spend some time identifying where the wasteful spending is and shut those down. For instance, if $21 million being spent on Indian elections is a wasteful expense, order that it be stopped. Why break the entire organization?

 

Same thing with NIH, FDA, even FBI. They are big, bloated govt bureaucracies. But they also have wings that do useful work. It shouldn't be difficult to separate the baby from the bathwater. But I guess it doesn't make for a political spectacle and governance via Twitter.

I think a lot of organisations of US was over the period infiltrated by people as well as ideology and corruption to work in interest of NATO allies. As i said in my post above, US interest is no more same as its allies (NATO allies) interest.

 

All its NATO allies have been effectively billing more to US treasury for their Economic and Sercurity interest.In 1945 world and even several decades later, It was fine as US needed these allies to fight USSR which was threatening its position as number one and creation of US based global order. That killed USSR and gave birth to a weakened Russia.

 

China is new threat to US Supremacy. So , In reality, If I was US president, I would revisit all such intitutions and if need be, start from Fresh.

Which is nonsense. Trans rights endanger children and violate women rights . Since there are far more women than idiot confused men, women get priority.
