Its a feeling of respect. Being friendly and over-friendly has a thin line. Not to mention India-Pak relationship dynamics started to deteriorate further post Kashmir exodus. Prior to that we were at war but atleast we were on the face of each other, post that Pakistan stopped to new level below and became backstabber. The amount of jaahilpan that Pakistan has adopted post Zia Ul Haq was not present in 70's.
