Not the greatest of cinematography, but a snapshot of Mumbai from when we were kids.

Also, this song SRK's debut on the silver screen

That song picturization was inspired from the MKS song - Rote huye aate hain sab. . I thought SRK debut movie was Hemamalini directed Dil Aashna Hai.

Dil Aashna Hai had started shooting earlier. Deewana released earlier.

One of my favorites:

* Superb cinematography (use of within frames, good angles, etc) and production design (awesome sets)

* Great song and dance sequence that adds value to the film’s story

* Appropriate acting

:hatsoff:

Below is another song featuring Helen, who has again done a mind blowing job:

When @zen bhaai posts about movies, we can only read and be happy. Pretty difficult to reach his level of deep analysis.

Can't believe people haven't mentioned this song:

SRK- A R Rahman- Malaika- Gulzar- Sukhwinder Singh

And luscious greenery in the backdrop shot on a moving train with CGI!

Have been going through lots of Indian movie songs. Old and new.

Not sure if Mumbai has been shot better than this @Mariyam

Elegant sensuality. Compare this with the **** we see today. No wonder we have gang rapes.

This one older but has its moments. 2:55

Maestro IR at his best. This is from Mani Ratnam’s first movie (Kannada) with IR magic. This was even before Mouna Raagam. You can see the visual signature of camera work from Balu Mahendra

it was Anil Kapoor’s first movie too

Not Indian cinema, but this song by Hanumankind is visual banger.

Now that he is famous, he could have made anything, but he chose to show his roots, his culture :hatsoff:

Mostly these foreigners who come to film in India would either go to slums to make poverty porn, or make stereotypical content like Hymn for the Weekeed (Coldplay)

Maniratnam's songs have great picturization. Alaipayuthey, Dil Se and Kannathil Muthamittal are among the best. Iruvar is brilliant too.

Here is Pachai nirame from Alaipayuthey. I love how the brilliant colors and lyrics describe Shalini
