Players from WI team of 80s are always the first ones to pipe up and still haven't gotten over the 83 WC. That was the end of their domination in ODIs and WCs. They haven't won a WC since and haven't forgiven India for it. That's the reason you see bitter takes from Holding, Clive Lloyd and some of the WI folks from that time. Andy Roberts has simply joined the party. Plus the world cricket in general has always resented the rise of Indian cricket and don't like the fact India rules cricket on and off the field. Goras still haven't accepted it, and the Asian bloc is jealous. This has been the case for a while and whenever they find an iota of excuse or reason to take shots at BCCI and India, they do. Yup as Indian economy expands further. In 15 years 5-6 month IPL with World Cups (ODI/T20) in between and test series between big 3. Other leagues will become feeder leagues.

We just have to look at the 90's to understand how bad India's standing was in World Cricket. The English especially cannot take any success India has in cricket. They will always find excuses. Remember in an entire decade when Sachin was in his Prime, India just had 2 tours to Australia and that too 7 years apart. These people have no legs to stand on. At least when BCCI are strong, they are making sure all teams except for Pakistan get games against India to help them make money in sponsorship and TV rights. England, NZ and SA scheduled tours every 5 years or so. They always complained about everything when they were in India during the 90's from pitches to food to facilities etc. Despite being stronger than any of these boards have been in the past, BCCI and/or Indian management hardly complain about anything. Seriously I don't care about these whingers. I can understand the frustration of 1970-80's WI cricketers as they cannot digest India doing well or being powerful. I just want the team to concentrate on cricket and win as many titles as possible without worrying about what is being said. I would love if India finally wins in England even though it is going to be tough, I hope they do. If they do win in England all the experts from there will shut up. Remember when England lost to India last year on good pitches they had nothing to complain about also Bumrah running through their bazball batters made them speechless. You know what was the result? They lost 2 out of 3 matches & exited in the group stage in front of a packed home crowd. No ex-cricketer or any commie criticised SA for getting home advantage. In this CT, had Ind exited in group stage or in SF, no one would hv shouted. Just becz Ind were the best team in this CT by a mile, these losers hv been barking like stray dogs.
