From my semi -educated, culture deprived, roti eating North Indian perspective, I don’t care if he’s Tamizh or badtamizh. Just keep winning games for India because he has that in him. Lone Wolf Posted March 12 Posted March 12 T20 will be his best format. If he can win us next T20 WC at home + Asia Cup... His legacy will be sealed. He is 33 right now so we can easily add him to 2027 WC as well. He had great success in SA albeit those were T20s tapandrun 1

Thought when the locals came across the British establishment at Fort St. George and started screaming "Mad rascala" at them the Brits took to the name and corrupted it to Madras.

They all belong to the same race. THey just speak different language. Andhra has one of the largest dravidian group. Speaking different language won't give them different characteristics. Your customs, culture may be different. Edited March 12 by vvvslaxman Mariyam 1
Gollum Posted March 14 Posted March 14 I received threats, told not to return to India in 2021: Varun Chakravarthy Quote "After the 2021 World Cup, I received threat calls. "Don't come to India. If you try, you won't be able to." People came up to my house, tracked me down-I had to hide at times. When I was returning from the airport, a couple of people followed me on their bikes. It happens. I can understand fans are emotional. As @Lord said, Varun didn't even do that badly in the WC, just made a scapegoat to protect superstar batsmen and Mentor Singh Dhoni. That man has been through hell for the last 3-4 years, despite all that, so humble and gracious. Happy for his success, no one deserved the trophy more than him and Shami. Ultimate_Game and Lord 1 1
