Was noticeably slower. But that is understandable as he eases his way in. Hopefully will crank it up soon.

What was his average speed like? Was he hitting 140+ regularly?

From what I saw, he was hovering around 140. Mostly less. But hit 142+ a couple of times. I just wanted to see his 150+ thunderbolts but too soon for that, I suppose.

No different than someone like Shardul,Avesh,Dayal etc

Doesn't deserve a spot in the team. You either need to have pace like he used to or be versatile like Bumrah. If he doesn't regain his pace he'll be an IPL player but won't be able to get to Team India.

These guys have no aspiration, they are happy with few IPL games

But either you are an out and out trundler or pacer

No betweener,I see a Mavi in him who changed his colour and became a trundler from once being a potential Umesh Yadav replacement

These betweeners are chucked out like trash

Someone ,like his coach must make him realise he's nothing without his pace

That's sad coz Mayank had a higher ceiling than Mavi. Mavi was never a 145+ kph bowler whereas Mayank was able to hit 155! Will be very disappointed if Mayank goes the same way.

Mavi clocked 149+ with multiple 145+ deliveries in his debut IPL in 2018 right after clocking 145+ in U19 WC that year

He had pace in abundance with terrific seam movement

Mavi was no less when he burst into the scene,he was all set to be the next big thing in Indian cricket but like many pacers he too was lost

We don't learn ,we tend to waste these guys and then we cry ,pacers are rare, need to look after them

Tyagi,Umran,Mavi,Sen, now Mayank seems going the same way

BCCI can't waste them go

Didn't see Mavi clocking anything over 140 when I saw him in IPL. His max pace was high 130s and generally bowling in low to mid 130s.

You must have watched him from IPL 2020

He suffered stress  fracture and remained out of cricket for two years and came back in IPL 2020,he was Boobie 420.0 from there on

I don't watch all the IPL games. Tune in for a few select ones and catch the ones over the weekend. The very fact I don't recall Mavi doing anything of significance shows he was never that much of a difference maker.

Mavi was very young barely 18 ,in his debut season

What would you expect from a then teenage sensation?

This is exactly what BCCI will do, they will waste the fast bowlers, discourage them, ridicule them and will turn them into a joker.

BCCI depends on batters, they promote batters. Bowlers like Bumrah are a thorn in the popularity of Kohli & Rohit. All they want is mediocre third class bowlers, who will forever be regarded as the slaves of batters.

Mavi was superfast in ipl 2018.

he is on his way to become another trundler like Avesh, these guys drop 10k speed for every major injury and another one and he will be no different than Gutkesh.

He is coming off injury, give the guy some time to recoup and get his confidence back .

Hope we don't lose him due to injuries. It was a sight to watch him bowl fast. But I would want him to play FC. Playing FC will make his body stronger.
