mark Wood and Lockie keep getting injured and come back to bowl fast.. why only Mayank needs to slow down..can we ask our NCA coaches..

best example is bond, when ever he played he was bowling top speeds, even though he knew his career will be short if he keeps doing it.

Because they are older and their body and bowling actions are already cooked by bowling for a decade.  Also they don't get back injuries. Their injuries are different.

Mayank's case is a bit different. He is still very young and has never been able to play more than 5 games on the trot in his life.

He seems to be magnet for injuries. Not just bowling induced injuries but other injuries too.

He has injured himself getting up from bed and even while walking down the stairs.

He needs 2 to 3 years for his body to mature.

this is because mayank has a weak core. His abdomen injury last year, his other niggles, are all a product of having a weak core.
He generates a LOT of force with his action and force for bowlers is generated through the legs - its transferred to the arm via core - so when your core is weak, having too much force generated by legs = core injuries. Which is what mayank keeps getting.

In that case..what would be his pace after 2/3 years? 130s? or can he regain 150s

There is no reason to believe he can't bowl 150 again as he has already done it twice on record. He came back from injury and clocked 155kph in domestic cricket, came back from injury and clocked 156 kph in IPL last year.

Onus if now on Zak, if he can do a Nehra with Mayank.

Prasidh & Siraj has done wonders under Nehra...can Zak do the same with Mayank and keep his stakes high.

Always personally regarded Nehra as a better white ball bowler than Zak, its just his body was made of glass and hence kept on getting injured often.

Zak is no Nehra. I say bring in Bharat Arun to support Mayank. If Bharat Arun can't put him on the right track, we're done :((

Lee, bond both had stress fracture of the back. Bond had to fuse his back with titanium wire, tait had reoccurring back injury.

Its always the attitude of the bowler most would have left cricket or started bowling at lower speeds as they had already made the name for themsleves and could have played few years on that only.

Mentioned this multiple time bowling at 150+/145+ consistently requires diff. mentality. Injuries are part of this cycle, it how they come-back. At that point its the personal attitude and culture of the  sports in the cntry.

Pak. players/experts quicly point out if there is drop in pace of the bowler. Aus experts ask the first thing if the pace is still there after making a come back. Same with SA.

Its in Ind that the most impt thing of pace bowling is not mentioned or talked about, thats where they get pacers without pace and spinners without spin

That's pretty much the general trend with Indians living in India. Our bodies tend to mature in the mid 20s. Whites and blacks often achieve that at age 20 / 21.

Personally, I was far stronger at age 25 / 26 than I was at age 22 / 23.

Indians generally look younger than whites and that is a big advantage during middle age and old age.

Mayank trying to bounce out batters bowling around 135kph and getting hammered for 6s all around was hard to see. Looks like another youngster fallen down the wayside :((

These chewts are themselves to be blamed, they see it in open what is the end result when you choose the most convenient path

Still continuing with it,just go and f@ck yourself Mayank

Happy to see Mayank being hit out of the park multiple times..

Dont need another bowler of 130s.. He should learn that his usp was pace with control of line and length..without pace you are nothing..

whatever filth he believed from NCA and Zak.. will make him disapper from cricket soon..
