Many female tennis players have big forearms, trunk like legs, long midriff etc. But Williams sisters faced most of the harassment, clearly a racial issue. Yohana's first name is Yusuf ( not Joseph), also a distinctly Arabized name.

 

The reality is that even belonging to another faith can be difficult, and people have to mask their faith by keeping Islamic first names. May not be prevalent, but it definitely exists.

That is only because at a societal level they feel threatened. What Afridi tried to do is just a symptom of the behaviour of such a society.

 

Many a times I see on posts on ICF, and in articles that India is becoming like Pakistan.

I don't know of any set of parents who had to name their daughter Manisha instead of a Mariyam. Or Jagriti instead of Jacquiline. We will never be like Pakistan. We charted a different path in 1947.

Half of pakistani are fixer ….. there most celebrated and famous cricketer Akram was the big daady fixer who fixed international matches… Few says 96 wc qf he deliberately sat out by taking money from fixers. It just that Kaneria was hindu and that too he dint fix any intery matches like fixer asif, amir and butt as well as Salim Malik, Akram and many others , but these all scumbags were absolved from their crime and only Kaneria was penalised for him being hindu. Those are screen names! That is not masking an identity. 

 

None of the people you mentioned have shied put a screen name so that they aren't persecuted or shied away from their identity.

 

Jeetendra and Akshay Kumar are also screen names. Mainly stuff that roles off your tongue.

 

Don't mix that with taking a first name as Danish. Danish Kaneria was Danish in school, in his mohalla and on his birth certificate. Not so the case with Bollywood actors.
