This is a non-issue propped up by "Saar, we fight hindi saar.." DMK boys. TBF, even that rupee symbol is a derivative. Just take the letter and put a horizontal strike against it. There is a town called as Vaniyambadi...almost 2/3rd of population is Muslim. I initially thought adding a South Indian language like Telugu as official language of Indian govt along with English and Hindi would solve the issue. But it will irk other states like Maharashtra, Bengal who too have rich language history. No way, they will accept learning Telugu over Marathi or Bengali. This might help in busting the propaganda of DMK but in turn other states will not be happy about it.

Revdi's exist prior to that.. HAJ Subsidy is also a form of revdi. To garner votes. No Subsidy for Amarnath Yatra or Mahakumbh. As long as Revdi helps in genuinely uplifting the financial situation of lowest class of society. Its not a bad thing actually.
