goose Posted March 16 Posted March 16 it’s been 4 years but he was our best bat last time in Eng. he said himself the forced down time in Durham between the WTC and the test series gave him time to work on his game and conditions. he needs to do something similar. let’s hope they hang around for the last test this time.

Both have recently won couple of ICC trophies, their hype would be on par with that of Tendulkar now. I wouldn't be surprised if both (especially Kohli) come out of their T20 retirement to play the '28 Olympics. They wouldn't want to miss out on an Olympic medal.

I think considering there has been no pipeline planning for these two to be phased out, id rather have Kohli captaining the series- at least he has a number of SENA wins under his belt as skipper and I have to credit him for that. Not sure Bumrah will even recover by then- he cant be the long term captain as he will be perpetually injured Gill is in dire form in Tests and people think he needs to be made next captain. And there should be strict rules in place such as Bumrah can't bowl more than 15 overs a day, and max 25 across 2 days if India has to bowl across 2 consecutive days. If you leave it up to Rohit, he'll finish off Bumrah. In fact Bumrah shouldn't participate in this year's IPL as well. Give him enough rest and then evaluate him 3-4 weeks before the Eng tour to see if he can make it. rollingstoned and Lord 1 1
