Agreed. Ideally, they should've moved on after the CT win. But in Tests their performances don't even warrant a consideration.

Same reason as Virat Kohli did when he lost his captaincy, tiff with BCCI. Second test Saf tour. Back pain ka excuse. BCCI created a green top in nagpur to teach ganguly a lesson. Do you think this will happen on todays date. Those days there were two factions; jagmoham dalmiya , ranveer singh mahendra one side.. other side was sharad pawar and IS Bindra and Dungarpur. Sabotaging was common and it even meant India losing tests. Prime example was the eden gardens odi when CAB created a green top in odi to scupper dravids chances and india lost. Ganguly was out of the team. Thinking back it was so foolish. Just one up manship. Now think of today will any state board screw indias chances by preparing pitches suitable for opponent. Bengaluru might not even get a test now. Nowadays state boards will do anything to get india a home advantage. Hell they tampered with wc final pitch to give india something..

Are you serious. Kohli has chronic back issue and Kohli has never ran away from anything.He was lone man for decade playing all formats.So your reasoning of Kohli skipping the second test to avoid SA  is ridiculous.

Ganguly had an injury. It was documented. So if you believe Kohli really had a back pain whats stopping you from believing Ganguly didnt have it.

He was the reason we went a decade without an ICC trophy with his poor captaincy, team selection, and top-heavy teams. Turned India into RCB of world cricket.
