pjb. t20 leagues is good, all pjb players were playing it. there was another bowler fast for the league sahil khan.

not sure how pk and dc are missing on high potential player (at least for uncapped ipl players)

I think in white ball team we will see a lot of tier 2 city players picked from these leagues.

For tests I feel the talent will only come from big centers still like Mumbai, Karnataka, Delhi etc

To be honest it’s only fun banter: so

much sacrifices and effort goes into these youngsters or journeymen players  making it. I recently saw the Parvin Tambe biopic, changed my perspective on passion some of these folks have for cricket balancing it with daily life. Emotional eye test: A for every player except Arjun Tendulkar, Tejaswi Yadav and that DMK corporator who played for sunrisers  a few years back.

Arjun gets a B minus. He is not as bad as he is made out to be.

now back to serious eye tests :weights:

Tambe should have got the Ind cap, there was no Ind leg-spinner at that time, he was perfect t20 kind of spinner quick through the air.

Spinning bit both side, a v.committed out-fielder, think he came close to hat-tricks and played in cpl too.

He was not selected because selectors didnt want to get some1 who was not the part of cricketing system.

There are many bowler/player playing in Ind domestic who are same level of players like Arjun tendulkar there are many who are below his skill level.

PPl have high exceptions of him.

No one plays a 42 year old debutant. We had Mishraji and Chawla then IIRC

That’s why I gave Arjun a B minus only for his effort. He could easily  chill and enjoy the rest of his life but he is at least putting in the hard yards. He is lucky that due to Tejaswi etc he will never be counted as the worst IPL

player. He did ok in one of the matches too I think.

mishra played v.few t20is, there was some issue with him and dhoni. tambe was better than chawala.

chawala was never a regular in Ind team. Think there was no regular leg spinner in Ind side till chahal.

@Lone Wolf @maniac

how do you fellas rate these PSL youngsters? :giggle:

Saim Ayub

Abdullah Shafique

Muhammad Haris

Saim Ayub B + talent.   Weakest format T20

Shafique A talent.  Could be gun test and ODI batsman on potential especially in Subcontinent. Good Test record and had a decentish odi world cup.

Harris tulla b minus

Would you pick any of these guys if they were Indian? :giggle:

How about you @Lone Wolf

Saim maybe in LOI’s as bench. He can bowl and is a decent part timer. Not in the first X1 side though. Maybe back up or India A.
