Or will there be any chances of improving it with buying new players? Only a factory reset can help this team.

Also I don't think that should be the sole criteria but look at the age of some players also, Dhongi-43, Jaddu-37, Ashwin-39, Triapthi-Shankar are 34. What were they thinking during mega auction. This was time to build young team for next 5-7 years and now they are stuck with inept squad filled with oldies.

The rest needed to be discarded after the first lockdown was lifted. Lord and vvvslaxman 1 1

prasen82 Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Screwed for next 2 years . Horrible auction . They are gonna lose big time on ticket sales. Don't think dhoni will stick on next season.
Teengunalagaan Posted April 21 Posted April 21 MS Dhoni is Rahul Gandhi of CSK, always working for the opposition... Lord 1
crictime Posted April 25 Posted April 25 (edited) CSK teams batting is soleley reliant on runs by Ruturaj Gaikwad. He has top scored for CSK in few seasons. Without him the batting order looks hopeless. Nobody is scoring five big 50's in an IPL season and couple of hundred across seasons lik4 he has done for CSK. Edited April 25 by crictime rkt.india 1

Otherwise CSK was dead a few years back when dhoni said he doesn't see spark in youngsters. CSK was dead at that time but Ruturaj emerged then. crictime and Laaloo 2
vvvslaxman Posted April 26 Author Posted April 26 In the next auction they should go for Harsha Bhogle, Murali Kartik. Commentary box will be free. Mariyam and Vilander 2

One of the reason Gaikwas was good at chepauk because for an opener plays spin better than middle order batsman. With him missing they have left everything to Dube

It's like buying [for] 25 hours and see it come away at the end of it mentally and sometimes physically exhausted. And to be fair, I still think we have got a good squad.
