First line of the thread title reads "Pant as T20 player"..... I don't need to bring out his stats in intl t20 and IPL. Those are far worse than even a tailender. You can verify his career stats before accusing me & others of hating pant. Right now every tom dick harry in India is a better batsman than Pant in whiteball cricket. Regarding his captaincy, you are glorifying it exactly the same way you keep glorifying T Bavuma's captaincy in almost every thread & start accusing other posters of getting indulged in racism. Let me spill some facts here. Pant's captaincy has hardly played a role in LSG's no.3 position currently. Everyone here (excl you) is aware of it. In the last game, Pant selfishly promoted himself to the opening slot in place of in-form batter N Pooran only to suck balls on the field. Luckily it didn't cost LSG the match, as Markram was striking at 200% unlike the loser Fatso Pantatunga. LSG are blessed to hv other match winning batters as well. Viz: N Pooran who can single handedly win his team 8 out of 10 matches especially while chasing modest totals. Also LSG hv a decent bowling unit. Mystery spinner D Rathi leading from the front, along with the likes of S Thakur plus Bishnoi. Having said all that, I am quite sure you will continue to glorify fatso Pantatunga's below par performance in whiteball cricket as you are currently his only active PR agent on ICF.

His best strength used to be coming down the wicket and hitting them donw the ground. He is not doing that often tapandrun, Vk1 and Ultimate_Game 1 2

The only area he tries to hit is sq. leg. He lacks power game and field manipulation and 0 off-side game. It will be easy for bowlign side to keep him in check till he play some lose shot and get caught. Even in test the shots he plays lands where fielders are not there as field is close in, in white ball its spread out. Vk1 and Frustrated 2

Nothing more than Stat padding...which helps the individual...not the team. The fact that the worst batting line up in the world (CSK) chased down the total goes to show that it was a below par score. Suhaan 1

The thing is is he is been brought back to intnl cricket with-out proper domestic season after injury. Do not think this is going to happen but if possible he needs to take a break from intnl cricket work on fitness and shot making, he has no off-side game, he has always struggled in white-ball cricket. Test is the only format that suites him, should work on it may be down the line he can be added into white-ball cricket. He needs proper going back to basics in terms of batting. He has no off-side game and even leg-side he just targets sq-leg. None of the wkt-keeper in current Ind rotation are good enough to be in Intnl t20 side and not do think any1 new is coming. Heard good things about minz but do not think he can be any better. Right now any1 who does not bowl should take up keep from Ind's t20is 1st 11 else it can cause some issue.
