To most Americans her first name is named after a state. Very few here know Georgia is a country and a few decades ago I caused an accidental bar fight in Savannah, Georgia ( I wasn't involved in this one) by being drunk and projecting my voice ( my grandpa did puppetry as hobby and taught me how to throw voice a bit) and yelling out " Stalin was a georgian". It was always followed by someone going " eff you new yorker, eff you bostonian, eff u new England people " and after half an hour of this, people just started beating each other up and we left. Americans are almost as bad as Muslims. Just Need a reason to fight. Many aeons ago, I witnessed a brawl at the La Guardia lounge between two gentlemen. Was told that they got into a fight over an arguement over Football ( the weird American type) teams.

Americans are worse. I have never seen a Muslim start a fight coz he is too horny and can't get laid coz bar closed and he is out of time. This happens in American cities 50 times per city per night at closing time. Muslims come off as people with very short fuse and easy to trigger, Americans come across as people who wanna fight u coz they are just bored. As for fighting over football, that's common on anglo island. They still got nothing over Latinos. Check out the war that started in the 70s between costa Rica and Honduras over a fifa world cup qualifier match where one side bribed the referee and won by absurd 7-1 score or something, other side found our next day that ref was bribed and so they declared war and fought a war over a few months over it. No joke !! Mariyam and velu 2

Even throughout the UPA 2's disaster run his personal rating remained +ve amongst the public. Heard that in the middle of UPA2 Sonia wanted to make him the PM but MMS refused to step down. His Pappufication began with that hilarious 'women empowerment' interview with Arnab in 2013/14. His image never recovered after that. rangeelaraja 1

ALL cholas IIRC from that period (who worked their way up from being petty dukes under Pallavas, to being vassals of rashtrakutas, to becoming independent, then whacking pandyas and becoming Tamil-sresthas, to going on the first trans-oceanic imperial conquest in history of mankind, they were super duper Shaivists. And their 'hindu-ness' is what cemented them as the uber-duber tamil lords over pandyas and cheras for 2 continuous centuries, all because Rajaraja Chola went to Bengal, brought back ganga-water to inaugurate Gangaikonda Chollapuram, the first city in the south consecrated with ganga-water and thus the holiest imperial city of the tamilakkam of that period. In the south, you dont get more hindu than the cholas & chalukyas.

The Tirumalai cave complex consists of 3 Jain caves, 2 Jain temples and a 16 metres (52 ft) high sculpture of Tirthankara Neminatha which is the tallest idol of Neminatha and the largest Jain idol in Tamil Nadu. Uhh...ofcourse jainism was kicking and alive. so was buddhism. In every corner of India. This isnt western dehaat or arab dehaat where only one religion thrives. But ofcourse, patronage-wise, what CHOLAS THEMSELVES WERE, is hardcore shaivists. just because they didnt go smashing every other religion out doesnt make them Jains. All Indian kings pretty much patronized all religions, heck even Pushyamitra Sunga, who is allegedly this evil buddhist killers - has donation marking on Sanchi Stupa. Just like hinduism thrived and was the dominant religion of the Kannadigas ( based on grants and inscriptional quantities) during rashtrakuta period, despite Rashtrakutas being hardcore jains. In the period of Shunga there was unrest in the North West Taxila I guess Buddhists allegedly had a role in it. He went on to lose control of the region but he must have violently curbed the rebellion as he should. Was a Based ruler. Needlessly villianised. Mihirkula was actually the one who was severe on Buddhists in Kashmir and Punjab. Dude meant buisness really. Shaivism flourished under him in Kashmir. Edited April 9, 2025 by Lone Wolf Muloghonto 1

They didnt go past Mathurain the west and Bareilley/Uttarakhand region in the north. Because when the Maurya dynasty fell, the Greco-Bactrians invaded (they were allies, as both were buddhist and marrying into one another)- who left once they faced rebellion in bactria ( this caused bactrian greeks to split from their indian counterparts) but retained control of gandhara-sakala region and under Milinda (Menander), they expanded up to Mathura. Shungas probably did nothing against the buddhists, as there is direct expansion and donations to buddhist stupas like Sanchi under Shungas. They probably are villanised because they were the first brahman dynasty in a long time and took over from the buddhists and the legends over this got written down over 4 centuries later in Sri Lanka. All this 'pushyamitra sunga the buddhist killer' tales are from Mahavamsa and Dipavamsa- they are Sri Lankan texts, written about 400-500 years after Pushyamitra Sunga and there is no mention of Sunga excesses in any buddhist texts FROM india. But yes, Mihirkul ( his name surives in afghans today as Mehr Gul) was a total savage. Funny how the hindus who end up as mass murdering kings are so rare and when you find them, they are dehati central asian warlord converts. coffee_rules 1

Shunga killing Buddhists and destroying Stupas aare a leftist fav narrative to counter Islamic Iconoclasm. There are no verifyable parallel primary sources. It is a leftists wet dream to say, so what Islamists destroyed Hindu temples, Hindus did destroy other places of worship, it is par for the course.
