Punjabis on this forum wont like me saying this but one of the reasons pakistan is in terminal decline is because they are anchored by punjab. Religion is different but economic thought process is the same. Region has become full of bitter complainers who wants governments to provide nirvana. Stuck in agri dominated economies which poor focus on innovation. One step above bimaru

The biggest issue with indian armed forces is that 70% of budget goes in salaries and pensions. This is much higher than most g20 countries.

 

You have a chorus of "army families" crying hoarse if this is reduced.

 

This means no room for purchases or any other investment. This why the likes of irso and drdo cannot attract the best.

 

The world has moved on from infantry. India seems to be stuck in the 70s. 

 

Ladli behna is a drop in the ocean compared to this deep structural issue.

 

 

DRDO is inefficient too. It has 25000 support staff for 5000  scientists. 

 

Do not want to beat the dead horse, but let me say this: We live in a society that is too divided and diverse to work to full potential.

The green revolution and agri wealth has made them a bit relaxed. I do not see any other reason. They are neither lacking in ambition or in brains. They have grown too soft.

They have been resting for 20 to 25 years.

 

What they need is refomer cm who will make politically unpopular desicions

Please do post some recent infra developments planned by CBN in Andhra. After Gujrat it seems Andhra is getting heavy investment to open up new industries.
