I told him that he should sell his export stuff in India. He says that will reduce his profit margins, as Indians don't pay as well.

 

They are a greedy bunch for sure. Still, he is a businessman and employs many in his factory. At least he does that service to society.

If there are profit margins , then might as well reduce that than squeeze the cotton farmers towards distress. But when our politicians ( or LOP)  can squeeze the common man on ethanol, it's understandable followers doing the same.

Farmers will get package. Gujarat and Maharashtra are primary cotton growing states. Bjp politically motivated to provude support.

Yes but in a better world could they have announced the package along with the import duty reduction. Too much to expect I guess

yes cause those are two totally same things to do....

 

Agriculture is more cyclical with annual seasonality and they will announce at the right time. They will wait to see what is procured and then compensate the difference.

Interesting to note as per articles BRICS nations (Russia is obviously 0) are pivoting hard towards Gold. Has been the case for multiple months. If back of the envolpe calculations are correct and Trump does sack the Fed then this might result in India gaining anywhere between 50 to 80 billion on forex reserves due to its gold holdings.

By the time the distress on farmers will keep on increasing. One can split the package. Some relief immediately and some after the procurement.

Seems there is some discussion happening for Su57 manufacturing in HAL-Nasik.

Too early to say but maybe the geopolitical circumstances have reignited the interest of India into Su57.

I don't see it going ahead but if they agree to our demands then why not?

The great UPA govt we all so miss, each and every one reponsible should be made to run the street of india in their underwear. they destroyed the country so they can collect bribes.

I think the deal can be done.

We did the same with Su-30 as well na, Su-30 MKI is loaded with Indian radars and hence its an improved version of Su-30 in Indian conditions.

 

Su-57 too, we can assemble it with desi radars, missiles and avionics.
