Had to be done sooner than later. Kinetic action is the actual need of the hour. Hopefully not another launch pad destruction and calling it a day. Even if 50 Pak soldiers are killed I'd take it at this point.

But India is now open to build more infrastructure around Indus and Jhelum Chenab. Will take a while but gotta start somewhere

As of now we can stop every single drop of beas and sutlej entering Pakistan as is our Indus treaty right. Now we can do the same to Ravi and jelum. We cannot do this to chenab and Indus, as their flow direction means cutting canals through 5km depth through the himalayas. But this means by cusec flow rate, we can withhold approx 50% of all freshwater entering Pakistan if we follow through. And those who say " China can do same", no it cannot. There are only three Rivers from Tibet that enter Indian territory and 2 of them go on to China ally Pakistan: Indus and satluj.
