Also, for every exam...Keep an avg cutoff calculating the avg for each class. For ex...SBI PO..GC usually has cutoff of 60-65/100, OBC around 45-50, SC 25-30 h ST around 10-15...round them off to an avg of let's say 35/100...and once all the eligible students are choosen from each quota. Then if there are seats remaining just pickup from the remaining merit list.

Its like picking up garbage candidates who will never work a single day in their lives.

Most of the effs from the reserved quota who get picked drop out anyways. In the IITs/IIMs they struggle to keep up with the others. Demand is not to improve the quality at source - but to lower the bar to pass those from non-GC category so that it looks like this program is a success. More alarming is in the field of medicine. My aunt who has been a professor for the last 2 decades in TN has pretty much given up. She has a mandate to pass everyone in the class even if they are the biggest dumb effs in the world. This is the state of medicine in TN. All the metrics in TN are fudged to make it look like the govt does a good job there compared to the north.

I knew about the medical collage problem and that fees are now getting beyond most.
