Lol Gill doesnt even a confirmed spot

That's what we think. From BCCI's perspective he's the next "all format" star :((

I would rather give the captaincy to Iyer. At least he has shown improvement and has captaincy credentials. Gill is not a captain and doesn't have leadership abilities.

He redeemed himself somewhat with solid batting in quite a few home series, contributing to our dominance at home. He should have retired from tests also after the T20 WC win. And should have announced his retirement from ODIs as well a month or two after winning the Champions Trophy. 38 years old, overweight and slow, and batting from memory with the odd good performance here and there - how long can a player carry on like that?

Yes, he had a few years where his contributions in home Test series did have a big impact in keeping our winning streak alive. But to be honest, so also did Mayank Agarwal contribute at home. Even Prithvi Shaw showed initial promise in home conditions.

Sharma ends his career as a good Test cricketer, not a great by any means. His main accomplishments come in white ball cricket.

Anderson took 700+ Test wkts and was contributing till the very end. Whereas Rohit was instrumental in losing us our first home series against NZ and lost the BGT due to him showing up for the series.

Fatty should've retired from Tests some time back, and should've been kicked out of the team after the NZ series humiliation along with Kohli. Both of them are shyte in Tests for a while now with Kohli being a no-show for almost 6 years now!

Retirement by Rohit Sharma a couple of years back  would have been great. By now his replacement would have had a 20 test experience had the retirment had happened then.

He's dragging his ODI career as well. He's already highly inconsistent and 2.5 years from  now he would be an absolute liability. Won't be able to field or bat and we would be carrying a specialist slogger who barely lasts 20-30 deliveries.

Shocking how BCCI did not try stop Rohit.

Rohit last 8 tests were poor. Prior to that he has been India’s best test batsmen along with  Pant since October 2019 when he started opening in tests.

Virat has been poor since 2020.

Rohit also won 2 ICC trophies as a captain. Some sort of leeway should have been given.

Leeway?! He should've been kicked out after the NZ series. Same with Kohli. They don't deserve a spot in the Test team for a long time now. If NZ home series wasn't enough, the way Rohit destroyed the team in Aus was disgusting to watch. And we can't forget his PR interview drama in Sydney where the match was going on and Rohit was giving this shocking surreal interview on live TV.

No, thanks. They've had enough chances and time for them to be kicked out and deserving youngsters to get their shot.

Bumrah should be next in

When he takes rest, make Pant or even Jaiswal stand in

Boom should be the captain. But might put more stress on him.

Should have retired years ago. Never good enough for test cricket and just kept dragging his test career.

absolute shambles of an opener outside flat pitches. Good riddance
