Scarface Posted June 2, 2025 Posted June 2, 2025 Clutch knock and never thought he had this high ceiling in T20s as batter - respect where due. But why 3 teams for such a successful and reverred captain? No stickability factor, coach(es) dont like him or something else? Surely should have stamped and made 1 franchise as his own by now.

Gollum Posted June 3, 2025 Posted June 3, 2025 RCB will finish his so called story tonight. No stopping Josh. Shreyas Iyer has been dismissed four times in six IPL innings by Josh Hazlewood and has scored only 11 off 22 against the Aussie pacer Virat Kohli has an average of 36 (1116 from 35 games) against PBKS but in the recent times, he has had stupendous success, averaging 62.5 runs (375 runs from eight games). In bowling, Josh Hazlewood will be the thorn in the PBKS flesh, having taken 12 wickets in five play-off games. A truly big match player.

He used to take time to settle down and bash. Usually his game suited ODIs a lot where he can murder bowlers in the backend. Remember 117 in 52 balls by SKY at Trent bridge where India almost pulled off a miraculous chase. Shreyas made 30 or something but scored at run a ball. If he had batted like he is doing now India would have won. The settling time used to be much longer in T20. Now it has gone down. He almost starts hitting immediately.

Gollum Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 That useless, nothing dab shot has caused his downfall in 2 big matches. That shot won't work on RSA pitches with the extra bounce/zip.....and in best case offers only a single.
Suhaan Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 He should first of all doesn't need to let his ego takeover Why does he think,it is always the time to prove Not much time left for him,SA 27 in Oct-Nov will be very tough for him He still has serious flaws facing back of length deliveries

See that Cricinfo piece on Iyer recently. Yes, it didn't come off last night but he's a much better player than he was a year ago.
