Bigg Brother Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 Human lives are not valued in our country. These rally, circus, celebration should not happen. It's not problem in our country only, the other day even Paris had similar scenes after PSG won UCL but it was not during event, people had come out to celebrate. The celebrations are pointless, this glorification of wait of 18 years, loyalty of 18 years nonsense should be avoided. This emotional jargons evoke these unnecessary celebratory actions. Tillu Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 Temples, concerts, rallies, melas, stadiums and movie theatres are ripe for incidents like these. Go to these places only if it is absolutely necessary and even there always stay away from Rowdy groups. Laaloo and Stan AF 2
vvvslaxman Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 Tragic. Why is there a stampede when the match happened at Ahmedabad. What are people doing there? rollingstoned 1
nitinbwj Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 (edited) Bangalore Police had denied the request for open bus parade citing security reasons earlier but RCB and the players went ahead with it anyways...so whose fault was that .tell me Mr. Moron Edited June 4, 2025 by nitinbwj BacktoCricaddict 1

Apparently, they set up a celebratory event in Chinnaswamy. Wonder if Kohli and co were invited to it. Must be completely unplanned with not enough police personnel, and as expected our population goes rogue.

Going Amarnath Yatra next month. Tillu 1
Bigg Brother Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 IIRC Eden Garden had faced similar situation after they won in 2014 and KKR had organised Celebratory event after winning final against Punjab. Thousands of people were stuck outside stadium and many were hurt as police had to do lathicharge to control the humongous crowd.

Kohli was as always giving his PR speech (Anushka supporting thick and thin, 18 years of loyalty etc....)

They are always done privately and telecast in YouTube channels and TV channels for a reason.. And we know the reason now
Tillu Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 When such incidents happen, all these celebrities internally wear it as a badge of honour to see people thronging and falling over themselves to death. BacktoCricaddict 1
BacktoCricaddict Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 No words to describe this sad situation. Everyone will blame everyone else, but there is one thing that must be said - it is not wise to hold a celebration immediately after the victory. Give it some time for emotions to simmer down. Organize an event a few months from now with tickets, rules, traffic-planning etc, preferably over a weekend. Basically, make it like another match event. As many players as possible will attend. Others will not. But people will not die if everyone knows what the rules are and are able to follow them. Like a match. Stan AF, diga, coffee_rules and 2 others 5

So, some people knew, others didn't, very few knew where to get them etc. etc. Hastiness ... bowl_out 1
The Hound Posted June 4, 2025 Posted June 4, 2025 It's hard to believe they didn't know what was happening outside the stadium.
