Ultimate_Game Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Can't understand how this guy is playing intl cricket! Whenever I watch him he's being hammered. Be it England or bowlers' paradise in SA, Krishna has a unique ability of being hammered by everyone and across all formats. And still he makes it to the Indian team! 40 year olds Shami and Ishant would be better than him TBH. I can't see him take a wkt at intl level in any format unless the batters attack him. He's absolutely toothless and I wonder why someone like Kamboj isn't ahead of him. We keep on hearing about how "fast" Prasidh is but he bowls in mid to late 130s for the most part. How is that much of an upgrade over someone like Kamboj who bowls early 130s but has shown discipline, and ability to pick wkts, and also is much better with the bat? This has to be the end of Prasidh Krishna's career who's already 30 and bowls worse than a newbie and has no upside. tweaker 1
BacktoCricaddict Posted July 4 Posted July 4 The mystery to me is that he is blessed with height and the ability to crank up the pace, but somehow doesn't seem to put it together. His run-up is never the same even within an over, nor is his action repeatable. It's frustrating to watch. rollingstoned 1
kosingh Posted July 4 Posted July 4 He bowls like a batting all rounder, except that he can't bat. Vk1, BacktoCricaddict, Ultimate_Game and 6 others 8 1

deepdynamo Posted July 4 Posted July 4 He is a liability. Not blessed with fast bowling acumen. The sooner we get rid him, the better. Bumrah, Siraj & Akashdeep is the preferred trio now for all test matches overseas. Rana, Kamboj & Arshdeep can be backup depending on conditions. Frustrated 1
Insidious Posted July 4 Posted July 4 (edited) There was a tread called - " Umesh Yadav: Brain less as ever" or something like that. Not sure about Umesh but Prasidh surely deserves the brainless tag. Edited July 4 by Insidious Frustrated 1

Not sure about Umesh but Prasidh surely deserves the brainless tag. Its an insult to Umesh Yadav to be compared with Krsihna. Umesh was a matchwinner in Indian conditions and got 170 test wickets. Krishna will wind up his mediocre test carreer with less than 20 wickets.

Vk1 Posted July 4 Posted July 4 Fitness and stamina issues. He has never considered long form game seriously. 25 FC games in 10 years is proof of that. Selectors & TM should know if the player is interested in test cricket or not. express bowling, rollingstoned and nevada 3
Vancouver Posted July 4 Posted July 4 India needs to look for pacers who ball heavy balls, pace isn't everything. These skiddy 135-140kmph bowlers are the reason likes of Jayasuriya and Anwar feasted on Indian bowling unit. Pandya doesn't bowl fast, but he bowls a heavy bowl and his cricketing acumen is great.
