Would be wonderful to follow and rooot or a Ranji trophy victory after a long time for Karnataka. last time was a heartbreaker. I remember Mumbai bullying umpires and getting some dodgy LBWs but now we have DRS. coffee_rules 1
vvvslaxman Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Devdutt padikkal has a strong chance of coming back into Indian set up. He has been consistent.

Padikkal seems to be fit to go.. hope Kar get that trophy after a decade and Smaran gets to 1000runs in a single Ranji season https://www.espncricinfo.com/series/ranji-trophy-2025-26-1492381/karnataka-vs-jammu-kashmir-final-1492524/match-preview
vvvslaxman Posted February 23 Posted February 23 Has anyone seen batted Padikkal recently? He is in crazy form or he is playing runs on flat pitches. Even then it is impressive.
diga Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Good start by J&K... 95/1 at lunch time. Kar need to get a few wkts quickly

urbestfriend Posted February 24 Posted February 24 J&K is batting good, if they score 350-400 in first innings, they have a very good chance of winning this with their good bowling.
diga Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Wow.. J&K at 265/2. 400 is on & Kar has a tough first innings coming up.
putrevus Posted February 24 Posted February 24 Hope J&K wins the trophy. It will be such a boost for cricket in that state. Hopefully they should have some international stadium and matches there in near future. Vk1 1

singhvivek141 Posted February 25 Posted February 25 This Vidyadhar Patil is such a malnourished trundler...bowling at 120-125kph. Prasidh in comparison is bowling 135-141 kph. Whats wrong with these "pacers"...are they so weak that they cant even hover at 135kph. express bowling, tweaker and Suhaan 3
singhvivek141 Posted February 25 Posted February 25 J&K lost both set batters in successive overs. Pundir made 121 and Samad 61. Prasidh has taken 3 so far. Suhaan and tweaker 2

If you don't bring anything else like batting, prodigious movement, bounce apart from seam bowling(120+) then they don't deserve to play cricket at this level when many others miss out It's like blocking other cricketers who may have served their side better 120+ is even quite low for U19 level let alone pro cricket, they should be chucked out Single handedly make things difficult for their side singhvivek141 and express bowling 1 1
singhvivek141 Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Ah, fantastic over by Prasidh...bowling barrage of well directed sharp short deliveries to Paras Dogra at 140 clicks...ekt maiden express bowling and Suhaan 2

I think there should be a rule that any bowler who bowls at such feminine speeds of 120-125kph should never be part of top tier domestic tournaments. speedster, Suhaan and express bowling 3
singhvivek141 Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Prasidh is bowling superbly, but Karnataka fielders are so useless that 3 boundaries in same direction of third man and they can't field properly. No wonder our domestic standards are garbage. Suhaan 1
Lone Wolf Posted February 25 Posted February 25 Overnight rains has brought some life back into the pitch. JK will need 450+ and thereabouts to bring scoreboard pressure into play.

Don't understand why the team management of these teams seem obsessed with these bowlers, there should be some X factor like height, swing or pace and there should be a minimum threshold for pace. Why are such bowlers being persisted with and worse the likes of Tyagi and Umran are struggling to get games singhvivek141 and express bowling 2

Patil is neither bouncy nor pacy. Just your avg line length trundler. Vyshak too isnt quick, but he is able to generate bounce and seam movement. Lone Wolf and tweaker 2
