I always felt he had strong action and physique to bowl quicker...but Kerala state association hardly cares. BCCI needs to take the fall for still not encouraging fast bowlers, even in this day and age.

He is better than a 125-130k's bowler, for sure. Even Rajnish gurbani looked fast without speed gun. He turned out to be same 125-130 kph range.

How bcci doesn't encourage fast bowlers. Nidhish isn't fast to begin with. Otherwise most of the fast bowlers get picked immediately. Kuldeep Sen, umran, mayank all got picked immediately after they came to limelight because of pace. But fitness has let them down. putrevus and tweaker 2

Where did I say that he is a 145 bowler? His length and his quality is too good. And yes, he did look like bowling around 138ish, a few deliveries. Thats not express. Thats just decent. But his length and quality is really good. Please read properly before jumping in bhai ;p

Well, we are all free to have opinions. And I do not agree with yours. I totally believe BCCI and officials are to be blamed for the languish of fast bowlers in India. In the past, and now. It was only during Ganguly's and Kohli's era that they were really encouraged. Even if Umran or Tyagi were given chances, it was for namesake. What did they do afterwards? Pathetic spinners and allrounders are given chance after chance, but if fast bowlers bowl quick, there is a concerted effort to pull them down. express bowling 1

deepdynamo Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Riyan Parag picked up a 5fer against SER and also hit 36(31) on a difficult wicket where 25 wickets fell on Day 1. We are wasting Parag all round talent in white ball cricket. He should be an automatic choice in white ball. cowboysfan, express bowling and tweaker 3

putrevus Posted October 25 Posted October 25 (edited) Parag should have played in place of Sundar. If his bowling holds up like bowling 5 overs every match then he should be automatic choice, he can play big shots unlike Sundar. Edited October 25 by putrevus

vvvslaxman Posted October 25 Posted October 25 Why has this shreyas gopal never evolved. A leg spinner who could bat a bit would have been handy

ShoonyaSifar Posted October 26 Posted October 26 Bengal vs Gujarat on Star Sports Khel channel Shami bowling 1st over, just reluctantly running in, no speed guns but is not bowling more than 80 mph, looks totally out of shape, no way fit enough to bowl in international cricket. This match will put all doubts to rest. Still has the skills to pick wickets in Ranji but noway ready for international cricket vishalvirsingh and express bowling 2
ShoonyaSifar Posted October 26 Posted October 26 Shami bowling at 80 mph still moving the ball more than Akashdeep. Lots of seam movement gets him a wicket as well
