Whoever advised Shami to have a public outburst against Agarkar is not his well wisher. In terms of fitness, he is still where he was during IPL. Something which we would need in countries like NZ. Sadly, he is a trundler...slowest between the trio of Umar Nazir, him and Yudhvir. Barely clocks 125-127 plus on domestic speed guns. India needs something different to win in NZ anyways. I am more impressed with his batting though... Always Contributes. Should be tried in India A games first up to properly gauge his level. He is surely better than likes of Kamboj, Avesh Mukesh types Yudhvir is pretty inconsistent with the bat despite having so much ability.

When he bats it seems he is batting for fun and wants to hit sixes and boundaries. A good coach should make him realize his potential. Can easily become a Chris Woakes or atleast a Pat Cummins level batter. Lone Wolf 1

He has been consistent performer for long. KAMBOJ was solely picked based on CSK fan media pressure for England despite looking below average in A games in English conditions. JK should have won Ranji Trophy last time...they had the team to do it. It took some insane bad luck that got them Ko'd by a final wicket stand of 80 odd runs that took 1 run lead. In the end media and PR plays a role for these low profile cricketers. Yudhvir gets to play for India A coz of IPl exposure.

Also, going by the videos of his remodeled action, it seems he is slower by atleast 6-8k's. So an Umran bowling 140-150 kph maybe now bowling at 134-142 range. Still pretty quick, but not sure with his height how much effective he's going to be. Lone Wolf 1
