Record tumble with this man in charge.

New lows in tests, ODIs, now our heaviest T20 WC defeat.

Problem is not with the intent. He is just too immature to head a cricket team. Lets emotions get the better of him. And is unscientific in tactical approach to planning

Apparently he isn't a fan of data analysis in this sport. Goes by gut instinct.

Not the way things are done in 2026 I am afraid.

We wanted a cricket coach, but got a politician.

GG, SKY. Both are politicians.

I think I know the problem.

Gautam is a typical Dilli wala.

Hot headed, always ready to pick up fights, touchy,  given to dramatic statements.

Loyal, heart in the right place.

But little aptitude for a thoughtful, consistent process driven approach.

That’s reflecting in his coaching.

No he doesn’t have heart in right place, he never had heart in right place. He is a crook who got the gig by blaming others.

You could say guys  like Dravid, Kumble and Shastri at least had heart in right place. All of them had their positives and negatives but had right intentions.

This guy not so much.

Heard that the lead data analyst was let go and never replaced.

All we have now is a large group of useless coaches who have zero credentials but got the gig cause are friends with Gambhir.

That always lends to bias and favouritism, even if unintended

I think we should have dedicated thread for logging Gambhir's missteps. Even while we were winning he made some terrible decisions. All swept under the carpet.  Back then players were delivering.  If a fantastic inform team steamroll everyone and having an off day is one thing. But our team is mor elike scratching the balls for each win and having a terrible day. We look more or like how Australia looked in 2023... wait a minute..  :marchmellow:

Gambhir was apparently the same way even as a five year old. One day, the teacher asked each child to sing their favorite nursery rhyme. Some chose Ba Ba Black Sheep.

Others went with Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

When it was little Gautam’s turn, he stood up straight, puffed out his chest, gave a sharp salute, and loudly began shouting the words to Vande Mataram.
