I think this is not the best move from SZ , need to pick the best players to play for zone. The contracted players are available why not pick them

Don't like the fact that both Yudhvir and Gurnoor Brar didn't make it.

Could have swapped Nabi for Gurnoor

Why is there a NE zone? Did This used to be part of east zone? There can't be many states and it looks made up of minnows

Yes from what little I know of Nabi he is extremely conditions dependent

No. It's not part of east zone. North East zone is different. It's made from teams from north Manipur, nagaland, Sikkim, arunachal, mizoram, nagaland, etc.

Shami is so done. I really hope selectors don't plan with the idea of him playing until 2027. Last season, these matches were broadcast and ball tracking was there as well. Seems like they aren't doing it this time?

When the COA was in place after the match fixing fiasco, they raised this thing on why not all states are represented in country and why does Gujrat ( Baroda, Gujarat, Saurashtra) and Maharashtra ( Mumbai, Vidarbha and Maharashtra) have 3 teams and many states zero. Post that it was decided all states will have a cricket association and will be represented. That led to all these new teams and hence participation in Ranji trophy plate group as well as new team called NE for Duleep trophy.

There is something called easing into cricket when there is a long injury... Esp for fast bowlers 

 

We don't want him to give 100% in the first few matches ... Let his body get used to the grind of test matches ..

Shami hasn't played Test cricket in more than 2 years now.  Surely it's over for him?

Looks like a good line length bowler.. Arshdeep praised him in Cricinfo as someone who can take wickets in loads.

 

JK pace attack is considered to be best in the Ranji trophy as per Rahane when Mumbai lost to them last season.

Next game Arshdeep Harshit are out for Asia Cup and make sure to play Gurnoor Brar and Yudhvir.

It will be absolute Cinema to see two hit the deck Pacers operating in Tandem
