Nope. It makes no sense to wait for the second new ball on this wicket.  Even the 60 over ball was moving all over the place yesterday.

England know they basically need one wicket to dismiss India. Their best bowler Atkinson will start first thing  in the morning and they will aim to dismiss India within a few overs. If India manage to drag it to the 80th over it will already be a setback for England.

he had 1 300 and no 50 scores, scored a 50 to somewhat right that record.

 

he won’t complaint now if he is dropped and yes I agree he was dropped unfairly in his prime. His game did go down so had he  been given a fair run then, he would probably have totally disappeared off the map. He was in discussion as everyone acknowledged the injustice meted out to him 7-8 yrs back.

 

Now this opens up a slot for a youngster.

 

Nair will get minimum 2-3 years of IPL contracts even  if he doesn’t do anything  based on this redemption story.

Don’t we really have more exciting options than Nair and Sarfaraz? What about Sarfaraz’s younger brother. He can bowl too. Maybe can induct him.

Sarfaraz is exciting. Has not done much wrong in chances he got. Reduced weight too.

Agree. Nair is too old and Khan has too many flaws. Pointing out that's he not a fattie anymore does not equal a space in an international team.

 

Need to find better and younger players and then give them some rope.
