Also as much hate as Gill is getting, across last 3 seasons of IPL, he's shown he can bat in different modes. If he struggles, he will not play the T20 WC. Mantra for the T20 team has been super aggressive batting, don't see it changing just to accomodate Gill.

Super stardom is earned not given as charity , they become superstars based on their performances, if they get some extra leeway  it is well deserved.

 

You need super stars they are the ones who absorb all the pressure and let others perform on the field.

Look at Samson's batting positions and Tilak's batting positions. Also DUbe was shunted up and down. They were shunted all over once Gill eturned to the set up. IN ODI set up first Jadeja was left out. Now back again. Axar was going to be main spinner. Left out again.  Jadeja was vice captain in Tests. Now Pant is. Sundar batting order, bowling rotation is increasingly bizzarre. Then there is Nitish Reddy and purpose of his selection. We are going to see the same fate in other formats very soon. Wait and watch, We are going to lose to Bangladesh in ODI in a crunch game.

I am still happy for chokli and sharma to be thrown out. Gambhir as a coach is big failure with all his crazy selection. In test you need solid players and this idiot along with Aggu has filled bits and pieces, most frustrating is these spin and fast bowling allrounders. Btw star culture never leave India first it was roko and now its Gill.Our established batters are also not performing  jaiswal, pant and kela is big fat zero in this series. Road is going to be same in lois.
