Aus is building some big hitting batting side. On the right path no1 is designated accumulator. They crushed wi in the t20i series.

 

Brevis played a v. good knock, he got a chance but that is part of t20s. Wkts were falling around him but he kept hitting the bowlers sub 50 ball 100 made sure SA were setting 200+ target. Some really big 6s here think he hit a 103 m six and and few 80+ m

 

SA could have sent Dusen to restore and build they kept attacking similar to how Tim David batted vs WI last series. Think TM and teams sees this is the way ahead attack and try to keep team ahead of the game

yes all teams should play like this in T20s,there is no place for supposed accumulators who cant play with SR of 150.

I am not sure this hitter strategy will work on pitches of SL and India where spinners rule. As the tournament progresses, worn decks need those who can hang around.

these pitches in Darwin were sticky almost like a subcontinent pitch but both teams continued to attack in both games,you need a long batting lineup with all rounders for that and we have in our T20 team.

T20 WC is not a long tournament.

Ind pitches for t20is are generally v.good for batting, in IPl there are multiple matches on same ground/pitches and sometime IPL teams wants pitches certain way.

But overall t20i pitches in Ind are good batting tracks.

 

Bd and SL have been using the dodgy and tacky pitches to get wins and nt to lose on playing icc events. This has been catch-22 situation for them. If they do not do that they will they risk icc event qualification as they are not winning away tours , but now good teams are now taking SL and BD tour as just a chance to see which of their batters can play spin and not sending proper t20 players, so Bd and sl cricket is not progress and because of that they are not getting t20 contracts in big leagues.

in T20s we would need spin hitters and those who can play lots of sweeps

Brevis is killing it-IPL teams are so dumb in Auction,they have no predictive tools on who will succeed like all other major leagues,just winging it and hope for the best

This pitch is actually 2paced and sticky. Not that conducive to strokelay from what I can see.

What?  Albie Morkel the legend hit 124 meter six at chepauk way back in 2008 or 2009.
