Tendulkar rarely dropped a catch

Even for his time he was not exceptional or anything special than any-other Ind fielder- dravid, gnagully, laxman all were considered safe catcher nothing out of ordinary.

They were not diving across or doing anything special for their time.

There were many extra-ordinary fielders in their time too and fielding standards of other teams were far ahead of ind side back then as well, Every sena team fielder was way ahead of Ind fielder.

Think the thread is conceived because of recent history of Ind fielders dropping too many catches and even some straight forward catches.

People have started looking safe fielding as a skill or plus in recent times for Ind fielders because of so many unforced errors.

A guy with six pack and family pack at top 2 spots

Ample proof that fitness or the lack thereof had little bearing on catching abilities.

Their brains which were busy plotting and politicking mucked things up.

If someone is notorious it would already have been out in the news

His drops almost cost this Test match .. liton went to strech BD lead to a fighting total.

If not for Iyer and Ashwin we would have lost this game comfortably.

Although he was never a great catcher, but after he was removed from the captaincy he lost all the motivation. He was just surviving in the test team because of his past record and looking to extend his career as much he can for the money. Should have retired after this BD tour.
