Heck, even Indians might start immigrating Africans in the latter half of the century. Right now Bihar and UP is contributing labour to the rest of the country but in the future even they will start aging/declining.

Yar ye poor/rich , jobs etc, ye sab reasons hain but the deepest reason is pollution. Your country gives you 1. Familiarity of language. Family, friends. 2. Food of choice. 3. Safety,security. No discrimination. 4. Convenience People will settle for some lesser job in India rather than moving out if only India had clean air during winters. Clean air is very basic requirement. Lord 1

Like I said, you don't see the change when it is happening. We already have China 2008 HDI and will be solidly upper middle income/lower end of high income by 2050. All stats point towards it. Mass assaults might happen but immigration will continue as there will be a sizeable demographic for which it is a worthy tradeoff. For people of dalit, bahujan, muslim background the racism that they might face abroad is very less compared to what they can face here. For upper caste hindus, yes there is a tradeoff - better living standards but get shunted to the lower part of the totem pole.

But clean air comes with wealth as facilities become better. Beijing was extremely polluted and now they have cleaned it up. Considering we will be current day China level somewhere in the mid-late 2040s then there will be clean air. India right now is in prime immigration stage - people are rich enough to immigrate but country is not rich enough to keep them (and this rich also includes general facilities/infrastructure/social behaviour etc). 20 years later it will down like it did for Koreans and Chinese.

Pakistanis will have massive immigration considering their high fertility rates (3.5) and low economic growth.

That is very thoughtful reply. But the fact is that poorer countries have cleaner air than India and Indians are themselves to blame like for open garbage burning, parali burning, vehicular pollution. China could have stopped parali burning but Indian government hasn't been able to stop it in Punjab esp. Pharma and chemical industries are also major polluters down south and in Gujarat etc Lord 1

I tend to feel that these countries somehow owe to the US indirectly for their progress post World War 2

Their economic growth was deliberately stunted in the 80's.. they would have long crossed 10 trillion dollar mark otherwise.. So Ko is in a even worse state than them.. almost at a point of societal collapse.
