N. Korea is a beggar country worse than Sub Saharan Africa. Almost entirely cut off from the civilized world and all trade happens using China as proxy. Most North Koreans are malnourished - except this Kim Jong and his family and a few elites. Yet - the protocol this character demands - as if N. Korea is some great power or economy. Heck - Pak is 10 times richer and more prosperous than N.Korea.

In India, people with negative marks can get lifelong postings as scientists/engineers in ISRO, DRDO, BARC. No competition, our best talent can't be retained. Even happens internally within states, look at how Tamil Brahmins have been exiled from their home state. P4P our smartest community who have won all our (science) Nobels, Fields, Abels but treated like pariahs. Various communities formed cliques and did not allow others to enter theirs and monopolized various resources. What we are seeing now is merely an extension. They do not want to introspect, are paid vastly more than their contribution, and spend most time in protecting these privileges.
