bowl_out Posted September 2, 2025 Posted September 2, 2025 Why is England so poor in ODI recently? Had a horrible 2023 WC finishing lower than Afghanistan. Had a winless Champions trophy losing to Afghanistan.
Lone Wolf Posted September 2, 2025 Posted September 2, 2025 (edited) SA are serious contenders for 2027 home WC. Who is this debutant Sonny though? Did Rob key watched F1 the movie or what? Decent pace but erratic worse than Dinda. Edited September 2, 2025 by Lone Wolf Manucrick 1
vvvslaxman Posted September 2, 2025 Author Posted September 2, 2025 Art of giving excuse. NObody can beat the English.

Had a winless Champions trophy losing to Afghanistan. They are tying to play like they did under morgan, that team changed the white-ball cricket, they were out batting opposition on consistent basis. Now other team have caught up to it, and Eng does not have players and the replacements are not good to emulate what their previous set of players did. Eng have been playing some really good sides in recent past-- Ind (in Ind), Aus, SA. Think they need some easy series to get the confidence going and sort out the player they want going forward.

Can't slash your way to 350 + all the time like they used to in Morgan's era KV244 1

Nikhil_cric Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 (edited) Bavuma flops yet again. Averaging 26 and striking at 81 over his last 23 ODIs in 2 years. Edited September 4, 2025 by Nikhil_cric
Lone Wolf Posted September 4, 2025 Posted September 4, 2025 Breetzke and Brevis might fill the shoes of Miller and Klassen effectively by the next WC. Serious contenders SA. Credit goes to SA20 for this revival. They always had the talent and with some capital in the mix we might see them dominate as well.
