Thanks to  Nayara Energy Microsoft row. It opened eyes of GoI and Indian private companies. Offcourse one can argue that why didnt they took lessons learned by Chinese Tech firms

There was a similar buzz about 'Signal' as an alternative app to 'Whatsapp'. Guess many installed the app with record numbers listed then, but everyone still uses Whatsapp. Lot of difference between how many use  than how many registered and installed.

Today one of my dad's friends messaged me on arattai to tell me to promote this app. He is a senior citizen.

1. Zoho presence in china where other US competition is not allowed 

2. UPI integration with arattai very much on cards

.. to my surprise 50 of my mom's contacts are on arattai,more than mine (30)

3. Govt will be pushing Swadeshi SaaS (software as a service) models, like zoho vani priced at 240 per month.

This is a good move. Any issues can be identified by offices and fixed.

IMO, keep your “fundas” simple - use an app that works for you (whatever it is).
 

As for using Zoho just coz it is desi (as if it is only serving the Indian market) -  if the reverse psychology is to be applied, the ROW should be moving away from apps that are not local too which means Indian companies like Zoho would lose ROW customers. 

 

As the saying goes - an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind!

Don't be naive. Or are you trying to be extra smart by writing all the good good things as you believe things on internet are being tracked?

 

regime change operations around the world employ social media. You don't know their algos, for ex. Even in India, it should be expected they would have pushed separatist khalistan agenda in punjab or other violent n divisive stuff across India thru YouTube FB insta. Election interference too.

People should care about what works for them at individual capacity. The products should be chosen on merit, while doing cost benefit analysis that serve them. 
 

Let companies like Zoho (or whatever) boycott international market for the sake of whatever, then ask people here to use it over other apps if they want to promote being Indian as a feature for Indians.

 

Until then such companies have to learn to compete based on merit and get picked by users based on the features they offer including value and security, nothing else!

PS those carrying out such bogus campaigns should be stopped from traveling abroad, watching foreign films, eating foreign cuisine (no more Pizza and coke for e.g.), taking foreign medicines (no Pfizer vaccines), wearing foreign brands, driving foreign brands, working for foreign companies, etc. Let them also put their money where their mouth is before sprouting such campaigns on internet.

Good points! Arattai is built similar to WeChat i.e. much more than whatsapp.  it recently crossed 1 cr. Google Playstore downloads.

Today every school class has whatsapp group of students and teachers. If they are encouraged to migrate to Arattai, that will bring it nearly equal to WhatsApp on downloads in 1 shot.
