But this system is fine, #4 beating #1 in a high stakes game has a charm that you don't get in playoffs. WC is always better with KOs, even 2015 one starting with QFs was nice. Dunno about this place , but many old gentlemen's clubs in India have strict rules about what you can or cannot do, your attire, etiquette related stuff. Membership fees are prohibitively high (also you need strong references from well connected folks) and you get kicked out over the smallest of reasons....clubs do these things to maintain exclusivity. Conversions are legal in India, happen in huge numbers in South India. But where are they conducted? Have never heard of Arya Samaj doing conversion activities in Kolkata yacht club? They may do that in temples managed by them or some of their centres. Trolling of Jemi is uncalled for because the allegations are against her father, any threat of violence against her should get the police involved. But if her father used her membership card to book facilities for conversion, not tough to see why the club may have had a problem with that. Once you allow it for a certain religion, other religious groups will also demand the same. Club has every right to choose what members to keep.
